Account Executive

What You’ll Accomplish

You’ll build trust with prospects and clients from target accounts or new opportunities to help them identify their challenges and demonstrate how our products can be a strategic solution for their needs. You’ll guide them through the sales process and ultimately close the deal.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Make connections and build relationships at target accounts to guide prospects through the sales process
    • Work from a solid qualified inbound lead pool
    • Partner with a Sales Development Representative to better infiltrate target accounts
    • Serve as a consultant and source of knowledge about ZoomInfo products, best practices, and how the prospect can benefit from our offerings
    • Give demos to show the functions and value of ZoomInfo products to prospects based on their specific needs
    • Collaborate with multiple teams to address prospect’s questions and objections
    • Explore all possible use cases to make sure additional opportunities have been identified
  • In addition to working from named accounts, create your own opportunities through prospecting and building networks
  • Close deals and set the customer up for success by ensuring a smooth hand-off post-sale
    • Track sales activities including communication, subscriptions, wins, losses, contracts, and customer issues in Salesforce.com
    • Negotiate acceptable terms and ensure all parties finalize the contract
  • Develop expertise in ZoomInfo products and possible product use cases
  • Provide periodic sales forecasts and other reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Learn our go-to-market motion, key differentiators, and develop your strategy
  • Learn the key success metrics for your role and how you will be measured against them
  • Begin making connections at target accounts and nurturing leads in the funnel

in your first 6 months to:

  • Be a consistently performing and valued team member
  • Be proficient in all ZoomInfo products and able to confidently name the value we bring to a company’s go-to-market strategy
  • Possess a healthy pipeline of prospects at every stage of the funnel
  • Have a successful track record of closing new business and hitting your number
  • Be able to bring forward ideas to increase the team’s efficiency and effectiveness

in your first year to:

  • Begin to help train and mentor new hires, passing along what you’ve learned
  • Consistently close new business and exceed your sales goals
  • Be a dependable, consistent, and essential contributor on the team
  • Seek out and receive customer and team feedback to further hone your skills

Here is What’s Needed to Succeed in This Role:

Experience & Education

  • 3-5 years successful B2B sales experience in an Account Executive or similar role
  • A successful history of engaging Enterprise-level companies who have highly sophisticated go-to-market strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A working knowledge of:
    • Salesforce or other CRM tools
    • Outreach, Engage or other sales engagement tools
  • You actively listen and easily collaborate with prospects and colleagues
  • You communicate in a clear, persuasive, and compelling manner
  • You have excellent closing skills
  • You have a strong work ethic that drives you to solve problems, stay organized, constantly improve, and get results
  • You demonstrate maturity and high emotional intelligence
