About the job

This position is needed to lead Twilio’s core Billing Platform team. 

The Twilio Billing team is beginning a transformational journey from supporting a single product (Messaging) to a multi-product (including Flex and Segment) billing platform. This requires the ability to see platform opportunities in our business needs that align with our long term platform strategy. We are looking for leaders in SaaS billing to help us deliver on those short term wins that are directionally aligned to our long term goals.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop the strategy for a set of core Billing capabilities that will enable two core business models for Twilio: a pay-as-you-go model, as well as a SaaS invoiced model
  • Develop a plan to deliver the strategy for the Billing Capabilities with a clear focus on identification of short term business unlocks that culminate in delivery of a long term Billing platform
  • Mentor and lead a team of product managers on the core billing platform

Required:

  • 3 years building SaaS Commerce or developing Billing Customer Experiences 
  • 5-7 years as a Product leader
  • 2 years as a Product people mentor

Location  

This role will be remote. 

Approximately <5% travel is anticipated.

Colorado applicants: 

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $193,760 – $242,200.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
