The Toast Customer Marketing team is responsible for driving advocacy, revenue, and retention of our restaurant customers.  The Director of Customer Marketing (Financial Technology) will be responsible for leading the  Customer Marketing team, focused on acquisition, activation and adoption of Toast’s Financial Technology products; including Toast Capital and Toast Restaurant Card. In this role you will be responsible for partnering with the General Manager of FinTech and senior leaders across Product Marketing and Product in developing near and long term strategies to drive growth across the entire product pillar. You will support your team in creating comprehensive campaigns, tests and research to help achieve those goals and support development and commercialization of the pillar’s narrative. This is a high-impact and cross-functional role that will drive long-term shareholder value.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of Customer Marketers working across Fintech products focused on customer acquisition, activation and adoption
  • Work directly with Product Marketing, Product and FinTech business leads to align on goal setting and strategic direction for the FinTech pillar
  • Lead Customer Marketers in the development of the go-to customer strategy for FinTech focused on driving awareness and growth
  • Partner with business leads on FinTech to tailor positioning and messaging for existing Toast customers and enable customer facing teams to leverage across campaigns and other go-to-customer tactics
  • Partner with operations and systems to help introduce reporting best practices and new channels that support Financial product(s) growth throughout the funnel
  • Partner with Customer Marketing Growth team to identify best practices and ways of working for strong integration of FinTech products in existing Growth campaigns and programs 

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment 
  • Financial Services, FinTech, or other ancillary industry experience is a plus 
  • Data-minded with strong analytical capabilities
  • Experience with Marketo and other like Marketing Technology tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to build strong, compelling story lines and recommendations that are deeply evidenced in data and analysis
  • Experience with Salesforce and Looker (and/or other business intelligence tools)
