Our global partner marketing team is seeking a motivated, experienced leader to establish technology alliance marketing at Tanium and position us for scalable growth.  In this high growth leadership role, the Director of Partner Marketing, Technology Alliances will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to build and grow the operational infrastructure and processes to lay the foundation for the future, including key performance indicators and analytics, hiring plan, sales and technical enablement, thought leadership and public relations, events, and more.  As a global lead and subject matter expert, you will plan and execute collaboratively with partner sales and across marketing to help execute these programs across all regions.

The Leadership Opportunity:

This leader will develop and execute strategic marketing plans and over time build out a team that delivers predictable pipeline via sell with or sell-thru motions. This role requires a strong balance of stakeholder management, technical and business acumen, relationship building, program/project management, storytelling and content creation, and go-to-market planning and execution.  Close collaboration and consensus-building with Alliance leadership, Product Marketing, and Partner Sales will be critical for success. Tanium moves fast and is execution oriented. This leader must possess the ability to thrive in in a dynamic, competitive environment where multi-tasking is the norm.

Candidates must possess both a business acumen of today’s rapidly evolving cloud marketplace that enables you to engage at the executive level, as well as a marketing background that enables you to easily interact with marketing teams, customers and partner/sales reps. In this role you should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and marketing, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and marketing content around thought leadership. You will constantly seek to find ways to win the hearts and minds of Alliance and Tanium sales teams so that they are aware of the full scope of marketing resources and support that Tanium has to offer.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as the primary partner marketing liaison to assigned Technology Alliance partners to help create and deliver a global strategic marketing program that supports the delivery of joint pipeline and business. Manage a corresponding budget, regular communications and represent marketing in business reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Marketing and Alliance leadership on solution positioning and product launches / updates.
  • Evangelize and curate our Tech Alliance relationship value proposition and assets to our regional partner marketing and sales teams to support our ‘meet in the channel’ strategy.
  • Create and land joint messaging and co-marketing activities to drive demand utilizing an integrated mix of marketing programs.
  • Establish KPIs and drive tracking and reporting of all co-marketing initiatives.
  • Work with the sales and partner enablement team to ensure partner readiness for new joint product offerings, services initiatives, and program updates.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in partner/channel marketing in the B2B technology industry with 2+ years in a Technology Alliance marketing or business development role
  • 5+ years experience in Enterprise software, Cloud, SaaS or Security management solutions required
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed, global marketing and product organization
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Skills:

  • Strong hands-on industry experience and acumen with digital marketing, B2B demand gen funnels, analytics, and sales enablement programs.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, execution oriented and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
  • Project management skills and strong attention to details. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. Strong ability to influence at all levels, internally and externally
  • Team player with proven track record in working effectively with cross-functional teams
