About the team

We are looking for a Manager of Compensation Programs to join our Total Rewards team and play a large role in our compensation strategy design and execution. You'll be instrumental in leading the team responsible for building our key global compensation programs and tools across internal organizations, and help Stripe continue to scale effectively while working closely with global cross-functional stakeholders across the business and people teams. 

What you’ll do

You will lead a team responsible for:

  • Designing, planning and administering our annual compensation cycle including merit, market adjustments, bonus and equity for all global employees 
  • Participating in research and analysis for new compensation policies and programs which help to solve our user’s needs
  • Implementing a compensation survey management system and support our compensation partners’ use of it for benchmarking and reporting
  • Partnering with People Operations to optimally configure and enhance business processes, compensation rule plans, grades and grade profiles, compensation packages, and equity program alignment
  • Partnering with People Programs, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and L&D teams to align on business objectives and to collaborate on talent solutions as a cross-functional team
  • Evaluating compensation programs to ensure they are legally compliant, competitive, equitable, aligned with the overall compensation philosophy, and driving the appropriate business results
  • Managing and analyzing complex datasets to distill insights and convey findings; build tools as required to improve efficiency

Who you are

Minimum requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in compensation; including experience developing and managing global compensation programs and processes, preferably in a high-growth, scaling, technology environment.

Preferred qualifications 

  • Strong understanding of compensation best practices, current compensation trends, and market benchmark data; international compensation experience preferred
  • Proven analytical skills, keen eye for detail, and have truly in-depth knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets including building and maintaining complex models
  • Experience communicating effectively across diverse teams, including translating complex ideas and quantitative insights into digestible information for leaders and employees 
  • Strong knowledge of Workday functionality and reporting
