About the team

As the leader of Strategic Accounts for APAC, you’ll lead the team responsible for driving revenue with Stripe’s largest accounts, including customers like Deliveroo, Zoho, Xero, Zip and others. The team’s charter is to work with these customers, our Product organization, and teams across Stripe to grow each customer in the next 3-5 years. Customers in the Strategic Accounts organization not only drive a material portion of Stripe’s current revenue, they are also the customers who represent our “canaries in the coal mine” — their needs help drive our product innovation, and we often co-develop product solutions with them.

While we’ve been focused on these particular users for years, increasing the focus on the  Strategic Accounts organization so as to materially deepen our attention to and investment in these key customers. The leader of the APAC Strategic Accounts organization will help build it from the ground up, developing our strategy, hiring and developing the team, working closely with Product and Marketing on the development of key engagements like Customer Advisory Boards and our Executive Briefing Center, and engaging deeply with customer executives.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, coach, and lead both Account Executives and Sales Leaders
  • Develop the long-term vision and strategy for a growing team, and scale day-to-day operations.
  • Help build our Global Strategic Accounts strategy Determine strategy and needs for Business Software & Services sales
  • Deliver on revenue targets and support KPIs for growth
  • Codify our processes and develop best practices that enable the team to more rapidly scale with consistency
  • Effectively work cross-functionally across the organization to shape Stripe's product roadmap to meet customer needs.

Who you are

You are an experienced Enterprise Sales leader, capable of not only crafting strategy, but also getting your hands dirty on complex, first-of-kind deals. You have experience operating at scale, but are also a builder. You are a product-oriented sales leader, who cares deeply about the technology you sell and enjoys contributing to and driving product roadmap decisions. You have a desire to build a world-class organization and write the playbook for the era of consumption-based, API-driven sales.

Minimum requirements

  • 15+ years of people management experience, including managing managers
  • Experience leading Strategic Accounts organizations in a high-growth technology environment.
  • Experience building teams across multiple offices, including launching teams in new offices.
  • Ability to hire, train and coach a high-performance sales team.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills.

Preferred qualifications

  •  Prior experience at a growth stage internet or software company.
  • Prior experience in the payment industry.
