Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

We’re helping ambitious startups and the world’s most successful companies build products, create new business models, and scale their efforts globally. In pursuit of this mission, the global partnerships team is responsible for developing, executing, and managing partnerships and strategic initiatives that enable Stripe's product and payments ecosystem.

We’re looking for someone to join the Partnerships team to lead the team responsible for managing our Strategic Operations in EMEA. This team is responsible for the implementation, long-term health, and scalability of our partner operations, and works across the payment method, card, and bank partners that underpin Stripe’s financial stack.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will build and lead a team of high-performing partnerships strategic operations managers. We are looking for someone who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, and solving complicated problems with limited oversight. The ideal candidate has a strong operational and scale mindset, and can work cross functionally with key internal stakeholders from Leadership, Engineering, Risk, Product, and Sales teams to help launch new partners and ensure existing partnerships and scaled processes.

  • Recruit, develop and lead a team of partner operations managers who work across Stripe’s payment method, banking, and network partners.
  • Align with EMEA Partnerships, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional leaders to properly meet the operational and technical needs of our EMEA partnerships and business, and act as an owner yourself for certain projects that cut across the global organization.
  • Work with senior leadership to develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team, and manage day-to-day operations.
  • Inspire, motivate and enable development of team members to promote career growth and impact for Stripe.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Partner Managers to develop and execute reliability and SLA strategies to improve and differentiate Stripe’s products.
  • Manage and strengthen key aspects of relationships with key Stripe partners.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in program management, operations, or strategic project management in the payment/fintech industry.
  • 2+ years in management and the ability to hire, train and coach a high-performing team of program managers.
  • Previous experience in or related to the Tech/Startup/Scaleup ecosystem.
  • Strong product instincts and ability to identify opportunities for Stripe to leverage partners’ existing and in-development products, as well as the ability to collaborate with Stripe’s Product and Engineering organization to build world-class features for our users.
  • An understanding of product strategy and key requirements for scaling products and operations through partnerships, especially with a “users first” mentality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – including the ability to speak to different constituencies such as business development, product, engineering, and sales internally and externally.
  • Experience working in an international context, and fluency in English.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
