We are looking for a passionate and experienced product leader to join a new team called Platform 4 Platforms. The mission of the team is to build tools and services that support our platformization process, with the aim of extending the reach and impact of our Key Business Platforms, across Spotify and the audio industry.
In this role, you will lead a new cross-functional, small and independent team that will explore a new product area within our Platform Developer Experience organisation. You will be a key part of understanding, navigating and leading product innovation in an ambiguous space. You will work within the team to build a deep understanding of platform owner and user problems, to inform the development of new products that provide a simple, consistent and delightful experience. Together with your teammates you will help drive our results-oriented goals, for the next phase of scaling Spotify’s business platforms.
What You’ll Do
Understand the needs of platform owners and users, how to evolve the Key Business Platforms domain to support Spotify’s growth.
Keen interest and willingness to work on both engineering and business value proposition strategies.
Balance needs around reliability, security and scale with building new features.
Work closely with our Quality, Platform Insights, and Product Design teams as well as Platform owners across the organisation to set goals and develop strategies for reaching them.
Deeply care about improving developer experience for our engineers, while working with the Engineering Manager to ensure healthy delivery – including capabilities, happiness, resilience, and growth.
Ensure your team is doing the right things, while not being spread too thinly. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance are key for successful teams at Spotify.
Who You Are
You are an interdisciplinary problem solver, with a love for leading discovery and partnering with designers, user researchers, data scientists and technical architects; as well as internal partners, to understand new problem spaces and blend different perspectives in pursuit of a mission.
You have a clear understanding of what it means to build platform products as opposed to consumer products, are passionate about building products that enable others to move with speed to solve their own needs, while enabling others to do the same.
An outstanding leader, communicator, and storyteller, you are comfortable with both writing and presenting to get your ideas heard, get alignment from a variety of partners and engage with your audience on a personal level.
You are good at sorting out ambiguity, while being structured and paying close attention to details.
