Senior Product Manager – Personalization

The Personalization team makes deciding what to play next easier and more enjoyable for every listener. From Daily Mix to Discover Weekly, we’re behind some of Spotify’s most-loved features. We built them by understanding the world of music and podcasts better than anyone else. Spotify is in search of an experienced and motivated Senior Product Manager to join the Personalization team! Our team focuses on predicting user value and content value using machine learning, and pushes the state of the art of content personalization and recommendations to drive long-term success.

What you’ll do


  • Partner with closely with engineering, machine learning, analytics, and design teams to regularly ship new algorithmic experiences
  • Identify and define new requirements from stakeholders, and partner closely with engineering and Product Insights teams to prioritize and deliver these requirements
  • Engage with product, marketing, and user research teams to identify needs of listeners across music & podcast recommendations
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers and leads to scope projects and objectives, and program manage timely delivery to landmarks
  • Define, supervise, and analyze metrics for launched products, and feed takeaways back into the development process
  • Combine creativity with thoughtful experimentation and iteration to find the ideas that resonate with users
  • Clearly communicate product plans, benefits, and results to a wide range of audiences, from internal partners to all Spotify employees

    Who you are


  • 5+ years of product management experience, with proven experience in recommendations, personalization, or machine-learning based products
  • Possess a consistent track record of delivering impact through engineering teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear solutions
  • Experience communicating complex topics to audiences with different backgrounds
  • A passion for the audio space and cultural equity and impact

  • Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration and ask that all be located in that time zone.
