The Personalization team makes deciding what to play next easier and more enjoyable for every listener. From Blend to Discover Weekly, we’re behind some of Spotify’s most-loved features. We built them by understanding the world of music and podcasts better than anyone else. Join us and you’ll keep millions of users listening by making great recommendations to each and every one of them. We ask that our team members be physically located in Central European time or Eastern Standard/Daylight time zones for the purposes of our collaboration hours.

We are looking for a passionate Senior Product Manager to accelerate these efforts and expand upon our existing offerings. What you’ll do

 

  • Find and assess opportunities in your owned problem space to contribute to Spotify’s overall goals and success.
  • Partner closely with engineering, machine learning, analytics, and design teams to regularly ship new experiments and features.
  • Shape, frame, and communicate your vision and strategy. Influence your team and cross functional stakeholders towards alignment and execution.
  • Engage with product, insights, content, and business teams to identify needs of listeners and creators across music & podcast recommendations.
  • Combine creativity with thoughtful experimentation and iteration to find the ideas that resonate with users.
  • Champion Spotify culture and values to make sure that your team is strong and healthy.

    Who you are

     

  • 6+ years of product management experience and a consistent track record of delivering impact through product, data scientists and engineering teams. 
  • 3+ years of proven experience delivering recommendations, personalization, ads or machine-learning based products at scale. 
  • Experience running experiments and interpreting quantitative and qualitative findings. A proven ability to translate strong user empathy into something tangible that people love, and a belief that data is a powerful tool for informed decision-making.
  • You know how to inspire, motivate, and support a team to get things done. Comfort driving projects from start-to-finish, with a predictable cadence and involving multiple partners from diverse subject areas 
  • You are excited about building products in a rapidly changing landscape and good at sorting out ambiguity. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and sensitivity to the needs of a geographically-distributed team.

  • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!
  • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Europe region in which we have a work location and is within working hours. 
  • Working hours? We operate within the Central European time zone for collaboration and ask that all be located in that time zone.
