As announced in our recent acquisition of Locker Room, Spotify is accelerating its entry into the live audio space across a range of sports, music, and cultural programming. With this live audio platform, Spotify will redefine the way fans connect with digital taste-makers through highly relevant, reactionary live content, and put the power to quickly and easily build spontaneous, interactive conversations in the hands of millions of emerging voices worldwide.
We’re looking for an experienced product manager who can navigate around an early-stage product: quick iteration, flexibility, and understanding which signals to pursue in order to build the best live audio experience on the market. You’ll be the first dedicated product person to work on Greenroom, and will have the unique opportunity to build a brand new, exciting offering for Spotify’s 400+ million users.
What you’ll do:
Coordinate requirements from internal partners into a clear, actionable roadmap
Collaborate with other team leads to define a long term strategy and product vision for Greenroom and how it fits into the larger Spotify ecosystem
Set aggressive timelines and goals – and hit them
Make sure your team is focusing on the right things
Be in-tune with Greenroom users so you can deeply understand their needs and where we should be investing our resources
Who you are:
You have at least 5+ years of professional experience as a product manager
Experienced working with a small startup and at a large company and know how to evolve processes as the team grows
You’re just as comfortable doing day-to-day project management (sprint planning, prioritizing bugs and feature requests, writing Jira tickets) as you are doing the big picture stuff (long term strategic vision, collaborating with senior partners, writing product specs, etc)
Extremely passionate about the audio space and are already familiar with all the different ways people are currently crafting and monetizing live audio
An organized and results-driven person, who can balance multiple projects extending across many teams, stick to realistic timelines, and are comfortable pushing back when vital
You have a proven track record to effectively complete, deliver, and quickly iterate with minimal direction
