The Platform team creates the technology that enables Spotify to learn quickly and scale easily, enabling rapid growth in our users and our business around the globe. Spanning many disciplines, we work to make the business work; creating the frameworks, capabilities and tools needed to welcome a billion customers. The Client Platform team is supporting mobile and web client developers at Spotify, we are revamping our mobile architecture to be able to scale our business and support the growing number of engineers joining the band.

In this role you are responsible for designing and setting direction for how we run business logic in the mobile apps, having an impact on both developer productivity and the app startup time. You’ll be driving the long-term strategy and help define and implement the KPIs and metrics connected to this area, as well as create a roadmap catering to our user needs, partnering with a cross-disciplinary set of folks across the globe to make Spotify a leader in developer impact.

What you’ll do

 

  • Drive the product strategy for how we implement, maintain, and monitor business logic in our mobile apps, this contributes to developer productivity and startup times.
  • Bring a strong data-driven approach and collaborate with the team and insights to create the first sets of KPIs and metrics to ensure your impact and constantly learn from your work.
  • Use data to create messages and influence investments in this area
  • Build a strong internal network at Spotify to understand our customers and theirs as well as collaborate closely with stakeholders to help them understand and adopt what we can offer them
  • Engage with your product colleagues inside Client Platform and impact the strategy across different product areas and tribes.
  • Work with the Engineering Managers to ensure healthy delivery – including capabilities, happiness, resilience, and growth. Empowering teams to define, validate and deliver in an intriguing space.

    Who you are

     

  • Have experience working with technical products and willingness to dive into the services domain wholeheartedly.
  • You’ve been on the product manager path for more than four years and have had engineers using the products you’ve built.
  • You love using data in all facets of your work.
  • You’re able to lead and create clarity in an uncertain space, translating a complex domain into an engaging journey.
  • As an influential communicator, you build lasting connections and enjoy working in a transparent and rapidly moving environment.
  • You are driven, efficient, and have a collaborative approach. You understand that we don’t win unless the team wins, and you leave ego out of it.

    Where you’ll be

     

  • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!
  • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location and is within working hours
  • Working hours? We operate within the Central European and GMT time zones for collaboration and ask that all be located in that time zone
