About the Creation Platform Mission
The Creation Platform Mission is a group passionate about the future of audio and podcasting, laser-focused on re-positioning Spotify from being a traditional 1-way broadcaster, to become a true interactive marketplace between 50 million creators and a billion users. We succeed when podcast creators succeed and we want to enable anyone to be a podcast creator.
We have three platforms that help us deliver a great creator experience: Anchor (the platform that allows you to create, distribute, monetize, and grow a podcast, all for free), Spotify for Podcasters (the platform that makes it easy to understand and engage with your listeners on Spotify), and Greenroom (the platform that allows anyone to stream or listen to live audio).
We’ve done a lot already, and we have no plans of slowing down. Come help us build the future of podcast creation!
What you’ll do:
Drive the strategy and roadmap for Anchor’s creator advertising offering, laddering up to the Spotify mission of giving a million creative artists the opportunity to live off their art
Partner with design, engineering, insights, and other Spotify teams to achieve that vision
Collaborate regularly with external users (podcast creators, listeners, and advertisers) and internal partners to ensure we are building the right products, tracking success metrics, and communicating developments
Get alignment on ambitious goals and timelines for this platform – and hit them
Who you are:
A well-practiced product leader, with experience:
Building products with complex technical backends and delightful user experiences
Thinking about consumer use cases (work with mobile apps is a plus!)
Building or working with advertising technology
You have a proven technical understanding of payments and advertising tech stacks
A big picture problem solver, ready to build out a sophisticated strategy and see it through
Excited about redefining podcast monetization and driving positive impact for creators at scale
Organized and results-oriented, can balance multiple projects extending across many teams, stick to realistic deadlines, and push back when vital
An outstanding communicator, comfortable with both writing and presenting to get your ideas heard and get alignment from a variety of partners
Collaborative, and able to give and receive direct feedback to help things progress efficiently
Creative in all the right ways. You’re bursting with unconventional ideas, and not afraid to give them all a try… but you also know how to balance those fun ideas with reality, resources, and business needs
All about execution! You have a consistent track record to effectively execute, deliver, and quickly iterate without a lot of direct supervision
A fan of audio. This is just a bonus, but if you’ve worked with audio in the past, whether professionally or as a personal project (podcasting, music discovery/recommendations, etc), we’ll be even more excited to add you to our team
