We are looking for a Project Manager to join Spotify’s Editorial Design Operations team as the first one in Miami to focus on one of our fastest-growing region LATAM.
Editorial Design is a distributed team of creatives who are passionate about helping Spotify customers connect with content they’ll love. We build beautiful and functional artwork that attracts and retains a diverse customer base across every active market. We build brands, and product experiences for a global audience spread across 178+ markets (and counting). At the center of our remit, we drive the global creative direction of over 12,000 iconic Spotify playlists.
As a project manager focused on the LATAM region you will work closely with the Design Manager in Miami as well as the Editorial Design team but mainly focus on local projects. You will initiate, resource, maintain and lead projects, tasks, and requests that our team receives. You will make sure everything runs efficiently for Art Directors. Our team’s mission is to provide operational expertise and leadership for Editorial Design and partners by developing and implementing standard methodologies, effective programs, and clear processes to drive efficiency and enable creativity across all Editorial Design projects.
What you’ll do
Support the local Design Manager for LATAM with operational expertise.
Work with our Sr Project Manager to identify best practices and adapt existing processes to make sure they fit the LATAM region
You will represent Editorial Design and act as the liaison between our team and collaborators, both internally and externally to facilitate high-quality creative work.
Suggest and try out new tools, processes, and other workflow improvements that will help the team be productive.
Educate internal clients on our process, handle their needs and expectations
Communicate clearly and concisely to partners and your extended team in other regions.
Initiate and drive kick-offs for new projects. Build turning points and assign resources, communicate progress and set up and facilitate post-mortems/retrospectives when needed.
Handle external resources such as production agencies and freelancers; supervise budgets, and facilitate contracts and payments.
Look after timelines for Editorial team projects, ensuring that we deliver.
Work from the Miami office but travel to global offices on a regular basis (we are currently not seeking remote workers for this role).
Who you are
Have 5+ years of proven experience as a producer/project manager in a creative agency/in-house agency or production environment (digital experience is a must).
Have a passion for project management with a track record of delivering great work on time.
Bilingual, in English, and Spanish.
Used a range of different project management tools and can see pros and cons with them and knows what works best for what type of organization and tasks.
Can provide evidence where you have innovated and improved workflows for your creative team.
People-focused with a lot of empathy.
An excellent communicator, both in-person and online; respectful to collaborators at all levels across the organization.
Master of time management; both for yourself and your collaborators.
A ‘do-er’ and take a hands-on approach to solving challenges that arise during projects.
Plugged into Latin American culture and have a good understanding of the cultural similarities and nuances within the region (including Brazil)
