You will be the primary operational partner to our most senior engineering leadership team, with a seat at the table in creating Spotify’s global technology strategy. You will partner with these leaders to design and drive programs that bring the best out of our engineering community. You will be part of an inclusive and upbeat team of Insights and Product Management operations leads and R&D events and communications managers, who you will collaborate with as you develop a vision for the Engineering Operations function and grow the team.
What you’ll do
Understand business priorities and collaborate with Spotify’s most senior engineering leaders in order to facilitate and coordinate company-wide engineering community strategy
Partner with Spotify’s engineering leadership team to establish an engineering practice, talent and culture roadmap
Partner with our communications team to effectively communicate engineering community programs such as new versions of our career development framework
Partner with our event team to deliver outstanding engineering events for both our tech leaders and our engineering community at large
Lead talent & growth programs, such as promotion processes and diversity in leadership initiatives
Be the engineering practice lead’s right-hand-person, working in sync to drive momentum and realise company-wide engineering initiatives
Establish a vision for the shape of the team and make it happen
Who you are
You have excellent stakeholder leadership skills, you can bring together a diverse set of perspectives and formulate and drive a plan that will result in success
You have deep experience in program management, you are a highly effective communicator, excellent in negotiation and change management, scheduling and time management
You are passionate and knowledgeable about engineering, particularly how to apply operational excellence to bring the best out of globally and organisationally distributed engineering teams
You have significant experience with people management and leading engineering program management or operations teams and a strong understanding of engineering principles and technologies
You are strategic and innovative, you can envisage what a great future-state looks like and implement programs to realise it
You can take direction, work independently and know when to ask for help
You bring passion and playfulness to your work, diversity and belonging is central to your approach, and environmental sustainability is embedded in your ways of thinking and working
