We’re looking for an experienced Group PM to join our team and oversee our “Monetize” product area, focused on building and scaling intuitive monetization tools across all of our verticals: Podcasts, Video, and Live. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of many brand-new initiatives for Spotify.
What you’ll do:
Manage 3 PMs, working across 3 verticals (ads monetization, fan monetization, and our monetization platform)
Build and complete a cohesive product vision that ladders up to our mission’s strategy and Spotify’s goals for these verticals
Partner with Engineering, Design, and Insights leaders to foster a team culture of impact, performance, and happiness
Ensure your team is aligned with team and company leadership and focusing on the right things, always balancing quality vs speed and short vs long term needs
Help drive and organize collaboration between Talk PMs and PMs on different teams within Spotify
Build and maintain a positive relationship with high-level partners (spanning Product, Content, Marketing, Legal, and Trust & Safety) across Spotify
Who you are:
10+ years of experience building consumer-facing software, and 2+ managing product managers
A highly collaborative leader that is capable of formulating and advocating for a clear, impactful product vision and strategy and working cross-functionally to deliver on that roadmap
Passionate about hiring, mentoring, and leading a diverse and impactful team of product managers
An effective, purposeful, and concise communicator, and know-how to influence and manage a large list of partners with conflicting and competing priorities
Organized and results-driven, can manage multiple projects extending across many teams, stick to realistic deadlines, and push back when vital
An exceptional communicator, comfortable with both writing and presenting to get your ideas heard and get consensus from a variety of collaborators
Big on “radical candor”, and able to both give and receive direct feedback to help things progress efficiently
Creative in all the right ways. You’re bursting with non-traditional ideas, and not afraid to give them all a try… but you also know how to balance those fun ideas with reality, resources, and business needs
All about execution. You have a proven track record to efficiently and confidently implement, deliver, and iterate, and have a “no task too big or too small” attitude towards getting things done
