We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager in the Composer product area in the Financial Engineering mission (R&D pillar of finance). You will lead a team that is building an automated risk mitigation framework helping teams at Spotify to reduce time spent on financial audit.
You will be responsible for supporting the growth of engineers in the team, building a strong engineering culture and facilitating technical delivery. We will rely on you to work with your team on practices, execution and to coordinate with other teams across Spotify.
As a lead for strong engineers in R&D, technical leadership and a proven background in software development is a must, so that you’re able to provide guidance as well as challenge and grow your team members. You will have the opportunity to influence the culture, be accountable for technical delivery and work with your team on strategy and execution.
What You’ll Do
You will lead a team that builds and maintains an automated risk mitigation framework providing continuous assurance that the system prevents a financial risk from occurring.
You will set a technical strategy for your team in a way that ladders up to the larger organisational strategy.
Work closely with your team and external stakeholders to enable sustainable and timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs.
Facilitate multi-functional partnership between engineers, product managers, and designers to build innovative and user-friendly products.
Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices.
You will work with the leadership to define big picture vision and strategy.
Who you are
You love developing, coaching and growing people across different subject areas and crafts.
You have led complex engineering efforts including analysis of requirements and scoping and know what it takes to deliver high-quality software with the team.
You are adept at using agile methodologies for product development.
Experience with financial processes is a plus.
