We are looking for a Director of Sales with an established record of advertising sales leadership and revenue generation in India, as well as a deep interest and passion for online media, audio, and innovation.

In this role, you will manage our sales efforts across multiple sales verticals in India, and will lead a team of Client Partners.

We want someone who loves our product, knows the market, clients, and agencies, can build creative, long-term consultative solutions, and lead, motivate and grow a sales team of Client Partners. You should be confident without being arrogant, and hardworking while still knowing how to have fun. 

This role will be based in Mumbai.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • In collaboration with the Region’s Head of Sales, and Director peers, you will help define the sales strategy and drive execution across a variety of brand verticals and agencies
  • Provide leadership for the dynamic, diverse, and hardworking team of Client Partners who are focused on our key Enterprise accounts in India
  • Collaborate with our regional account management & regional campaign management teams in charge of the market to generate demand & convert sales revenue
  • Leverage your existing relationships by building, sustaining, and growing a dedicated book of business together with the market teams. At the same time, proactively identify and seek out new client and industry relationships to optimize revenue
  • Represent Spotify in the advertising community by seeking out and participating at industry events
  • Manage pipeline, revenue forecasts, sales activity using Salesforce for maximum efficiency and visibility
  • Maintain high levels of communication and transparency with management, cross-functional teams, and business partners
  • Hit and exceed quarterly revenue expectationsLead a high performance team

    Who You Are

     

  • Minimum of 12-15+ years of digital advertising/marketing sales experience, of which you have at least 5+ years of management experience
  • Built up ads businesses from scratch and made markets where none existed
  • Experience in crafting vertical narratives, and engaging clients and agencies in long range strategic partnerships
  • Strong relationships with agency and brand CXOs and decision makers across India. Relationships with regional decision makers is an added advantage.
  • Experience running a team where Data/Insights drive the direction of the business
  • Strong knowledge of how advertisers plan, buy and measure advertising campaigns
  • Highly customer oriented with proven ability to build internal and external relationships
  • Ability to deliver on multiple priorities with attention to detail despite tight deadlines
  • Analytical with proven ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Enjoys working in a team and is always ready to contribute fresh ideas 
  • Strong presentation, communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Passionate about the future of Audio within the advertising media mix
  • Self-starter and results oriented
  • Good external speaking and media interaction experience
