Spotify is seeking an Ad Sales Systems Specialist to join our dynamic Advertising Business Operations team working out of our New York or Los Angeles offices. As the Ad Sales Systems Specialist, you will work closely with Sales and Financial Engineering teams and be responsible for technical support, maintaining data, communicating changes and helping to train the sales team around our prospecting, planning, order management, and reporting systems. You will also support and enforce current sales processes and have the ability to question the effectiveness of current processes/procedures in order to motivate change to increase the efficiency of our sales team. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Support our internal customers by fielding any and all systems related questions, solving problems on the spot or routing them to who can solve the issue in a timely manner.
  • Supervise the configuration and support of our suite of Sales Tools, being the go-to person for feedback and improvement ideas.
  • Partner with offshore team to respond to customer support requests from collaborators across the advertising organization
  • Develop communication, training plans and a center of excellence – responsible for ensuring impacted users are trained on new processes and procedures driving adoption
  • Assist Business Operations and Engineering teams with testing new systems functionality and enhancements
  • Coach team members on Salesforce suite of products usage and enforces policies / standards through day-to-day governance and oversight of master data
  • Expert knowledge on the use of Salesforce.com objects such as Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Quotes, and Campaigns.
  • Jump in and own short range Sales efficiency projects, having real impact on Sales performance.
  • Gather business requirements for improvement projects and synthesize them into technical specifications for Engineering to build.

    Who You Are

     

  • A min of 5+ years plus of professional experience, preferably on a sales, product, or data governance team
  • Expert presentation, preparation and delivery skills
  • A min of 3+ years of experience as a SFDC admin for a user base greater than 200 is a plus
  • Understanding of the Salesforce.com data model and how to effectively extract, transform and load data.
  • Experience with Order Management Systems like Operative, Fattail, Boostr, Cloudsense, Adpoint.
  • You have a focus on proactivity with the ability to gather, document, and complete detailed specifications from high-level requirements with little supervision.
  • Experience having completed several Salesforce integrations and extension projects in development and technical roles is a plus
  • Experience with deployments of enterprise software systems using industry standard environments (e.g., XML, HTTP/HTTPS, Java, C#, ASP, SQL) is a plus.
  • You are a team player who welcomes collaboration and has the courage to drive change through disruption while maintaining a respect for the team, but driving towards a resolution
  • In addition to an understanding of Salesforce’s suite of products, you’ll work well in an ever-changing, fast-growing technical environment and are able to quickly adapt and respond to industry changes and internal initiatives.
