About the role:

The Supply Chain Project Manager II will prioritize, implement, and manage large-scale transformational projects across the Supply Chain Organization. This role requires an experienced Project Manager with a passion for streamlining project plans, centralizing PM processes and generating change. Successful candidates have a strong analytical business acumen and an insatiable curiosity to understand and improve operations.

You will join our new Supply Chain Program Management org and will have the opportunity to help develop many PM capabilities for the wider Supply Chain Org. This role requires excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, cross functional collaboration, and the ability to manage high-impact projects involving internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will: 

  • Standardize the process for prioritizing and setting timelines for Operations projects
  • Manage and launch our highest priority projects with an expert approach to internal and cross-functional change management
  • Visualize and plan for processes needed to scale our fast-growing operations team
  • Owns project objectives and milestones with minimal guidance
  • Help develop PM best practices / templates including but not limited to:
    • Resource Management Plans
    • Change Management Process
    • Project Intake Process
    • Capture Lessons Learned post project completion
  • Review project progress and develop dashboards to highlight risks and mitigation plans 
  • Build Business Cases for high priority Operations projects
  • Break down complex projects into key milestones and iterate using new information to deliver on-time and on- budget
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years of Supply Chain Project Management experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record launching transformational, cross-functional projects that measurably increase team productivity and/or customer outcomes
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on business priorities and derive insights from data to inform next steps
  • Proven track record of building trust and communicating effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders: executives, Product and Engineering leadership, Supply Chain managers
  • Diplomacy, tact, and poise under pressure when working through issues
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills 
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to direction changes or new priorities
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to handle projects end-to- end

An ideal candidate also has: 

  • Knowledge of supply chain systems, including ERP, planning systems, CRM, procure-to-pay, warehouse management and manufacturing systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Passion for technology and operations
  • Six Sigma / Agile / Scrum/ PMI certifications
