Position Summary

Reveal Data is seeking a Strategic Sales Engineer to join our team at the fastest growing software company in the eDiscovery industry leveraging cutting edge technologies to disrupt the market. As a Strategic Sales Engineer, you will work with Reveal’s innovative software products to gain, develop, and articulate a highly technical understanding of the product to law firms, corporations, and other third-party service providers.

Our onboarding process will integrate you with our experienced veteran coming from all facets of the eDiscovery industry while allowing autonomy in becoming informed on our policies, product, processes, and goals. To ensure success as a Strategic Sales Engineer, a successful candidate should possess and demonstrate knowledge and passion around the development of eDiscovery software and demonstrate the value to providers.

This role will also involve being well-informed of market trends and capabilities similar to Reveal’s software. Please be aware we are onsite with a traditional five-day work week schedule. This is a fully in-person role.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Present the Reveal platform to current and prospective customers with a technical understanding of all functionalities, workflows, competitive differentiators, and customization capabilities
  • Lead training of new and prospective customers engaged in a pilot of Reveal software
  • Work closely with key customers and serve as a technical point of contact in curating and executing product pilots including, but not limited to, user trainings, initial architecture setup, Q&A sessions, troubleshooting issues all to ensure a successful experience
  • Interface with sales leadership and product development teams to relay prospective customer feedback on software and assess advantages and opportunities of designing product capabilities to successfully meet customer specifications
  • Clearly articulate key messaging regarding the company, product, and vision for disrupting the eDiscovery and investigations software market
  • Collaborate with sales and client services teams for positive customer and prospect experiences
  • Consistently maintain a high level of meeting activity with a target of five product demos per week
  • Understand prospect needs and effectively communicate Reveal’s solution set

Special Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training

  • 5+ years in eDiscovery or legal software industry with administrative and end user experience
  • Consistently ranked as a top performer in sales engineering roles
  • Confident and passionate about liaising with prospective customers and clients to present solutions to their specific workflow or business problem
  • Ability to converse complicated concepts in clear, concise manner with prospects from all levels in legal industry.
  • Detail oriented with the capacity to manage multiple, simultaneous sales cycles
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment to prospect and develop new business
  • Exceptional verbal communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify and solve problems quickly, decisively, and independently
  • Professional mannerisms and appearance
  • Travel as required



Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in an eDiscovery sales engineering or consulting with administrative and end user experience
