The Business Analyst role partners with our product managers and engineers to craft the journey to Relativity’s success. With a keen focus on user-centric design and a passion for problem solving, you will help fulfil our mission of delivering optimal business outcomes while ensuring a positive user experience. You will establish long-lasting relationships with business stakeholders in order to unite business and technical expertise. This role serves as a foundation for senior roles within IT, positioning you for growth into IT product ownership among other exciting tracks. This role reports to the Manager, Business Analysis.
Your Role in Action:
Drive requirements gathering and refine product backlog
Conduct discovery sessions to understand, define, and prioritize requirements to ensure they deliver the necessary business outcome as defined by the project lead.
Measure and communicate proposed project/feature/enhancement beneﬁts by linking requirements to value drivers.
Working with IT Product Managers, engage with stakeholders to document and understand current processes and recommend solutions.
Employ a variety of requirements gathering techniques (interviewing, workshops, surveys) to create artifacts that detail functional and non-functional needs.
Continuously refine and maintain product backlog to ensure relevant requests are meeting the needs of the business
Maintain relationships both within IT and internal stakeholders
Foster and develop relationships with business stakeholders to understand and maintain business capability summaries
Through business knowledge and working with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), communicate how technology enables the business and drives business value
Facilitate stakeholder discussion to resolve competing priorities and manage scope
Work with the technical delivery team to estimate work, coordinate project delivery, and identify solution interdependencies
Drive change management and deployment planning activities
Conduct deployment planning sessions and ensure ownership of pre-release activities
Engage with IT and business SMEs to coordinate organization change management, training, and transition of new features into daily operations.
As needed, aid with project management and the delivery of a feature.
In order to ensure quality of deliverables, create and execute testing scripts and facilitate change management.
Work closely with the agile scrum squads to ensure prioritized requirements are in line with the technical solution delivered.
At least 3 years of experience working on complex projects/programs across multiple regions and/or business functions.
At least 5 years’ experience in a customer-facing role and working in cross-functional teams towards common goals.
Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably scrum.
Participation across the full development life cycle.
Previous experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) software.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficient at business process design (Process flows, diagrams, etc.)
Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Jira, Slack, Zoom and other productivity and collaboration tools
