Plaid’s Workplace Experience team is looking for an incredible new manager for our San Francisco Office. Our team’s mission is to connect employees to the company and to other Plaids by creating exceptional spaces, events and programs. Our current Workplace Experience team is spread across multiple locations (San Francisco, New York, Salt Lake City & London) and across multiple channels of Workplace: Operations and Services, Internal Events and Real Estate & Workplace Design.

What you’ll do


  • Manage and scale the local office team at our San Francisco Office
  • Oversee the successful management of local vendors and contractors
  • Oversee Plaid’s highly competitive Food Service Program 
  • Be the primary contact between the company and building management making sure all facility needs are met 
  • Event planning including regular social events, external events, Holiday parties and offsite retreats in partnership with Internal Events Team
  • Work closely with our HR/People Operations team on local Perks and Benefits programs
  • Oversee and coordinate all office moves and build outs in San Francisco
  • Work closely with our HR/People Operations team to assist with the new hire onboarding and employee off-boarding 
  • Stay up to date on changing workplace laws and local government mandates
  • Ensure we remain compliant with workplace safety expectations
  • Manage contract negotiations, property management relationships and local vendors
  • Work closely with our Legal team to assess risks and make informed decisions about Employee Health & Safety

    Who you are


  • You have 3+ years of relevant Operations and Facilities experience
  • You are an empathetic leader with 2+ years of people management experience
  • Well versed in workplace systems, tools & platforms
  • Have experience partnering with Finance & Accounting to build budgets and manage P&L 
  • Have experience working with property management and construction teams
  • Have experience being on call and have managed through emergency situations
  • You have strong customer service and hospitality skills 
  • You have strong project management skills
  • You are able to work autonomously, but understand the importance of teamwork 
  • You are comfortable communicating with and driving decisions alongside our leadership team 
  • You are innovative – you’re looking to create tomorrow and constantly open to new ideas and technologies
