HashiCorp India Finance Center of Excellence:

HashiCorp has its Finance Centre of Excellence in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India to support the accounting and finance operations of the HashiCorp USA Headquarters and 15+ countries where HashiCorp has subsidiaries. From India, the Center of Excellence team independently handles / supports multiple processes that include GL Accounting (Record to Report process), Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Revenue Accounting, SOX and Internal Controls, Payroll, Taxation, Travel Administration, Equity Administration, FP&A, Reporting, etc.

About the role:

The Finance team is seeking a Director, Accounting Operations in its Center of Excellence in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India to support our growing Finance and Accounting organization in San Francisco, CA, USA. This position reports to the ‘Head of Finance, India Centre of Excellence’ based out of Noida. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking for a broad range of responsibilities within an operating company and wants to contribute to and oversee the accounting and finance operations in a high growth technology company. A successful candidate thrives in a fast paced, high growth, and high energy environment.

In this role you can expect to:

  • Manage the partial India Accounting Operations team and guide them in mid-term to long-term objectives.
  • Support in headcount planning and manage recruitment for the team
  • Oversee Acc.Ops activities related to R2R (including US Accounting, international accounting, intercompany, fixed assets), O2C, P2P, Payroll, etc. 
  • Manage and ensure the quality in the activities performed by the India Centre of Excellence team.
  • Manage the change management process including process changes to suit business requirements, ensure documentation, training, etc.

You may be a good fit for our team if you have: 

  • Chartered Accountant degree with about 15 years of post qualification experience.
  • Experience in working in a technology company with headquarters in the USA
  • Fluent written and spoken English and comfortable in presenting in front of a large audience including senior leadership.
  • 5-7 years of experience  in managing a medium size team of 10-20 people including managing their goals, performance management, mentoring and steering them in the right direction to achieve desired results.
  • Managed new initiatives and transition of multiple processes across Accounting Operations.
  • Exposure and experience in multiple aspects of Accounting Operations including R2R, O2C, P2P, Payroll, Taxation, Internal Controls, etc.
  • Lead cost reduction programs by implementing process improvements and optimizations
  • Lead vendors management across the Accounting Operations team which includes payroll, accounting, consulting, taxation, etc.
  • Have implemented changes and new financial systems and processes in the Accounting Operations areas mentioned above.
  • Ability to identify the area of focus and switch priorities accordingly.
  • Willingness to work in flexible working hours with 2-3 hours of overlap with the US Accounting Operations team in San Francisco.
  • Very high attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Accounting in US and International Accounting environments including US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP of multiple countries.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads.
  • Hands-on experience in preparation of Financial Statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements.
  • Strong analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong experience in MS Office Suite especially in MS Excel.
  • Experience with Netsuite is a plus, must have worked on major ERP systems and good experience in other integrated financial accounting systems.
