Role Description

As a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Analyst at FormSwift, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by creating, managing, and optimizing marketing campaigns on search networks like Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. With the majority of new customers originating from text ads on these networks, your role will have an outsized impact on the growth of FormSwift’s customer base. You will be directly responsible for many of our advertising activities and will work closely with marketers, developers, designers, and product managers to optimize each stage of our product funnel. You will also gain valuable expertise in marketing strategy and data analytics.

Your work will play a central role to FormSwift’s success as we expand into new channels and integrate our product into the Dropbox ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • SEM account management: Manage and optimize marketing activities to ensure profitable user growth. Activities include ad testing, bid adjustments, A/B experiments, landing page improvements, and more.
  • Marketing performance: Tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of our marketing activities and ad-hoc analytics requests.
  • Data analytics: Analyze internal customer data using database queries (SQL), spreadsheet reporting (Excel), web analytics platforms (Google/Adobe Analytics), and other software tools.
  • Ancillary marketing activities: Assist in secondary activities to expand to new marketing channels, test new geographical markets, and assist in other activities that require a collaboration with other teams in design, product, or engineering.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience managing online marketing campaigns
  • Analytical mindset, particularly pertaining to the performance of marketing campaigns and business metrics
  • Strong Excel skills (proficient with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and statistical functions)
  • Familiarity with online marketing channels and concepts (LTV, CAC, ROAS, CVR, etc.)
  • Basic SQL skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop consumer-facing messaging and positioning
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Total Rewards

For candidates hired in San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $108,100 – $127,200 – $146,300. 

For candidates hired in the following locations: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro) and Washington DC metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $97,300 – $114,500 – $131,700. 

For candidates hired in all other US locations, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is currently $86,500 – $101,800 – $117,100. 

Range(s) is subject to change. Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. 

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
