Junior Marketing Analyst – Location Flexible

Role Description

As a Junior Marketing Analyst, you support the email and lifecycle marketing team — building and segmenting new audiences for experiments and long-term programs. We’ll look to you to work with Dropboxers across marketing, data engineering, data science, financial planning, and IT systems to produce insights from Dropbox’s complex data environment and drive impact for Dropbox. In turn, you will be a key thought partner in making strategic data-driven decisions about marketing.

  • Act as an embedded analytics partner for the email and lifecycle marketing team: building and segmenting new audiences for experiments and evergreen programs
  • Ensure your numbers are air-tight by performing individual quality control, checking with relevant data owners, and cross-referencing findings against secondary sources
  • Support and drive interpretation, socialization and adoption of operational marketing reports
  • Extract insights on behavior of customers acquired through the field and channel marketing using analytics tools, data platforms, and internal databases
  • Surface analytical insights: proactively investigate root causes of aberrant data, and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Support design and implementation of experimentation necessary to improve channel efficiency, drive growth, and inform marketing investment decisions

  • Experience with complex data analysis, visualization, and dashboards as part of full-time work, college coursework, personal projects, internships, or research
  • Able to proactively engage with business stakeholders
  • Interest in learning marketing tactics, including campaigns and marketing channels such as field marketing, SEM, Display, and Email
  • Knowledge of probability and statistics. Applied experience in experimentation design, A/B testing and/or probabilistic modeling a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Business, or related discipline
