Role Description

As our Accounts Receivable Manager you will be responsible for the collections team. The role will involve overseeing collections for our Dropbox Business and Enterprise customers, cash application, bank reconciliations, customer write off’s, bad debt analysis, customer query resolution, month and quarter close tasks and answering audit queries. In this customer facing role customer service will be a priority. This will be a highly visible role in that you will be a key business partner for our Revenue, Deal Desk, Sales, CX, Provisioning Support, Treasury, Tax and Transformation teams and get exposure to a variety of different stakeholders across the organisation.
In addition to the above we have some really exciting projects in the pipeline. We are looking for someone who thrives on making an impact and driving continuous improvement through process enhancements, redesign and automation.   • Oversee global collections for Dropbox Inc and Dropbox International 
  • Management and development of collections team
  • Ensure consistency of processes and procedures and operational excellence is achieved at all times
  • Own month close and quarter close process including preparation of allowance for doubtful accounts, account reconciliations and SOX controls, ensuring all timelines are met
  • Drive continuous improvement through identification of process and system enhancements. Take ownership from project planning stages to technology implementation
  • Key business partner for internal stakeholders including Revenue, Deal Desk, Sales, CX and Provisioning Support 
  • Complete adhoc projects that require data mining and analytical skills
  • Main point of contact for account receivable related audit queries
  • Work with revenue accounting to ensure that the proper data supporting revenue recognition is obtained and validated


  • Accounting degree or equivalent work experience in similar industry
  • Experience leading and developing talent 
  • Strong understanding of operational accounting procedures, month / quarter close processes and financial reporting
  • Team player with excellent inter-personal skills, who can establish and maintain excellent relationships within the team, internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to someone from a non-financial background
  • Execution-focused, with the ability to take individual ownership for delivering quality work
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, but also comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, diverse and fast paced environment
  • Experience in Microsoft Applications (Advanced excel) required, with Salesforce & Oracle Fusion a big plus
  • Fluent written and spoken English
