The team
Our Marketing team creates world-class content and data-driven marketing solutions that communicate the value of DocuSign’s Agreement Cloud to reach more customers and help them understand the potential impact DocuSign can have on their business. We design creative for a new business campaign. Refine messaging around new product launches. Organize captivating customer events. Develop innovative social media campaigns. Collaborate on playbooks and training with the Sales team. Marketing is the face and voice of DocuSign and plays a key, high-impact role in how we tell our story.

This position
As the Head of Audience Marketing, you will lead how we bring DocuSign’s portfolio of solutions to market to priority industries and departments, from SMB to Enterprise. For example, priority industries include Financial Services, Public Sector, and Healthcare and Life Sciences—each of which have sub-industries within meaningful distinctions. Examples of priority departments include Sales, Human Resources, and Legal.

You will lead a growing organization of 20 product marketers to develop audience-specific insights, messaging, and lead go-to-market strategies to drive demand, adoption, and expansion for the DocuSign Agreement Cloud.

You will partner closely with executive sales and field leadership to develop a plan that drives business objectives across audiences and segments. You will allocate and align resources in support of company objectives, and manage the execution of the plan in close partnership with sales and marketing leaders. 

You will have six direct reports, five of whom are team managers. You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in Sales, other parts of Marketing, Product Marketing, Business Development, Sales Enablement, and Customer Success. This position is based in San Francisco but is also open to remote candidates.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the SVP Strategy and Product Marketing and is designated flex.


  • Lead an organization of 20 product marketers, organized across five teams, spanning all of DocuSign’s primary industries and departments
  • Maintain relationships with DocuSign’s senior sales leaders ensuring alignment to priorities
  • Translate company objectives and sales priorities into a go-to-market (GTM) strategy for each primary audience, allocate resources, and support execution of plans
  • Ensure that execution is on-plan and accountable to results
  • Inform and participate in executive decision-making on marketing, product, and GTM strategy
  • Review and elevate your team’s work product; in doing so, inspire and enforce marketing excellence
  • Be the editor-in-chief of key work products from your team, such as presentations  for our annual customer conference, messaging frameworks, sale materials and demand content
  • Collaborate effectively with senior leaders in Sales, other parts of Marketing, Product, Business Development, and Customer Success
  • Understand, articulate, and optimize the processes by which your organization works, internal to itself and with cross-functional collaborators
  • Represent DocuSign with press, analysts, and at events

Basic qualifications 

  • 10+ years of tech-industry experience
  • 5+ years senior-level product marketing experience for B2B software companies with revenue of more than $50 million
  • Managed an organization of at least 10 people
  • Experience in the SaaS space
  • Experience serving customers from enterprise, mid-market, and SMB
  • Demonstrable track record of excellence in your own marketing work product
  • Highly developed communications skills, one-on-one and in public-speaking
  • BA/BS required
  • References required

Preferred qualifications 

  • Experience serving customers from across various regulated and unregulated industries
  • Domain knowledge of electronic signature, content management, workflow, contract lifecycle management, or contact analytics
  • MBA from top tier school preferred

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $165,600 – $233,850 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits at https://www.docusign.com/company/benefits
