Sales Compensation Specialist

Your Impact / What You’ll Do

Incentive Compensation – single resource dedicated to owning the annual and inter-year incentive planning and contests for the GTM Organization.  Significant collaboration with sales leaders, People and Finance teams is required

  • Owns annual incentive planning from start to finish
    • Annual kickoff, project management, plan composition, trigger definition, quota assignment, plan distribution, plan launch, plan issuance post launch, day-to-day support
    • Amendments or changes to comp plans mid year as needed
  • Owns comp related questions from field and works cross functionally with Finance to ensure proper answers and solutions are provided
  • Owns regular auditing of all commission records inside of Salesforce for field and annual comp awards
  • Analyzes plan effectiveness around the triggers incentivized 
  • Proactively run and administer incentive contests as needed throughout the year – SDRs, RSEs, CSMs, etc
    • Terms & conditions, Finance budget approvals, Results reporting, Create and own incentive calendar, Kiwi club qualification
  • Does not include monthly/quarterly/annual commission calculation process
  • Gathers commission plan feedback from field and surface as relevant and appropriate
  • Continuous planning for future year plans
  • Works with territory management owner to understand market conditions in each territory as it applies and relates to quota
  • Reevaluates and determines proper quota setting policy based on business model and market
  • Serves as consultant for and makes recommendations for new roles, verticals and alternate compensation strategies


Who you are

  • Four plus years experience designing and administering sales compensation models featuring incentivizing ideally for a SaaS or technology organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have the ability to effectively present information to internal and external audiences.
  • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
