The Opportunity:
We’re scaling our People team and creating a new role for a motivated Benefits Manager in APAC. They will work closely with the People team in order to ensure benefits deadlines, quality of service and operational performance are met. APAC is currently Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea. In addition, New Zealand through PEO set up. Whether you're looking to learn from the best or be the best, the People team is dedicated to furthering personal development and team success.


You Will:

  • Implement APAC benefit programs including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life insurance coverage, commuter benefits, retirement plans (Superannuation, CPF, Defined Contribution), voluntary and supplemental benefits offerings, wellness programming

  • Drive the annual benefit renewal process and recommend go-forward approach taking into consideration feedback from internal stakeholders, market research, and cost analysis

  • Lead all benefit-related training and discussions with Datadog employees, including new hires

  • Maintain benefit information and policies on internal communications resources, and develop new communication materials, strategies, office hours and project plans to enhance employees’ understanding of benefits

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for employee inquiries, while developing ways to streamline operational processes and day-to-day inquiries

  • Research competitive benefit trends and best practices and report findings to key stakeholders

  • Manage relationships and the exchange of information with carriers and external brokers for claims and utilization data, enrollment information and negotiating renewals

  • Maintain relationships with external health & welfare vendors to address employee and business inquiries, including related to quality, service agreements, billing, reporting, audits and controls

  • Prepare and verify calculations of all benefit invoicing


You Are:

  • Someone with at least four years experience managing the entire benefits function, administration and compliance

  • Strong in your working knowledge of local regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs in various APAC countries

  • Proficient in Excel including pivot tables, vlookups, conditional formatting, if-and formulas

  • Service-oriented in your attitude and patience to work with all types of employees

  • Able to interpret and clearly communicate policies, procedures and programs

  • A critical thinker and problem solver

  • Experienced in a high-growth company at an employer of choice is a plus

  • Bonus points for prior experience in establishing new plans and supporting new market expansions
