Social Media Manager


Databricks is quickly establishing the data lakehouse as a new category for data, analytics, and AI. We are seeking an experienced social media + content manager who has technical and enterprise experience. You will report to Databricks VP of Corporate Marketing and own our social media channels, influencer strategy, and social strategy. You'll manage both strategy and daily management and execution. You'll represent the Databricks brand, drive community, and be the arbiter of our external tone and voice. You'll manage our social media agency and develop one-of-a-kind global campaigns. You'll drive employee engagement, ensuring that anyone can be a Databricks brand advocate.

The impact you will have:

  • Develop and scale global social and influencer strategy for existing and new social channels
  • Manage corporate social channels, execution, and delivery of content and engagement
  • Manage our social media agency, reviewing every post that goes out across each channel to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Scale our social media function as we grow, working in Asana and with partners and teams.
  • Develop and roll-out employee and executive social strategy
  • Work closely with the brand team and demand teams to develop and deploy global social campaigns
  • Partner with global marketing leads to develop regional social media strategies.
  • Develop and roll-out influencer strategy and engagement plan
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and make recommendations for creative campaigns.
  • Work closely with internal partners to ensure cross-promotional efforts remain on-brand.
  • Drive internal employee engagement so that anyone can be a Databricks brand advocate.

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing and social media in-house or at an agency.
  • Experience leading social media channels and working on creative social media campaigns for a cloud company.
  • Experience with social media publishing, listening, and analytics tools.
  • Experience working with internal teams and leadership to create regional and functional social media promotion strategies.
  • Ability to turn social measurement into insights and create relevant, data-backed reports, compile results, and provide recommendations.
  • An analytical approach, with the ability to quickly identify trending topics and know when to engage.
  • A clear writing style and voice, with excellent writing and editing skills.
  • BS/BA degree.
