Sales Strategy & Operations Manager

Databricks is looking for a motivated Pre-Sales Strategy and Operations Manager to join our Go-to-Market (GTM) team, which creates pre-sales strategy, provides strategic analyses and instills operational rigour to our fast-growing Field Engineering (FE) business.

 

The ideal candidate has a passion for driving key objectives for the business and turning data-driven insights into actions. You will lead strategy and operations for the APJ FE team and partner with its leadership team to drive their strategic planning and operationalise their business. You will oversee executive reporting and health of business reviews, run quarterly and annual planning, and define growth strategies for our pre-sales leaders. You will work with our FE, Customer Success, Finance, Data, Marketing, Sales Ops, and other GTM teams. You will report to the Global Senior Manager of FE Strategy and Ops.

 

The impact you will have:

  • Be a trusted partner to the APJ FE Leadership by defining, tracking, and implementing programs and strategies that scale
  • Guide the annual GTM planning process (FY and long-range modelling, investment Return on Investment analysis, HC planning, capacity setting)
  • Establish the APJ FE strategy and build processes to ensure we have the right investments at the right time
  • Lead executive analyses and strategic planning (e.g. board materials, QBRs, account coverage)
  • Design and manage the headcount forecasting process (FY, long-range, and quarterly modelling)
  • Provide visibility and performance tracking to the business (Operational reviews, Field Engineer efficiency and productivity Indicators, dashboarding)
  • Improve operational efficiency by automating and improving processes, and building dashboards that scale

 

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of strategy & operations experience (MBA, investment banking, strategy consulting, FP&A, business operations, Enterprise/Mid-Market SaaS experience)
  • Great project management skills and a comfort with data-led decision-making
  • At ease with collaborating to solve inter-function problems, and communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Propensity to summarise complex concepts and data and present clear information to executives, teams, and internal customers
