Field Marketing Manager, Public Sector

As a Field Marketing Manager, Public Sector at Databricks, you will be part of a high-growth tech startup with a collaborative culture. You will report to the Sr. Director of Field Marketing, Americas. You will work with your key sales and marketing stakeholders to develop the strategy focused on Public Sector. You will build and execute a scalable mix of field programs in markets to increase engagement, generate leads, and maximize conversion rates.

The impact you will have:

  • Continue to execute on and build out the 2022-2023 Public Sector Field Marketing strategy based on the allocated budget and targets
  • Develop a plan comprised of programs such as practitioner workshops, executive events, 1-few targeted events, 3rd party event sponsorships, 1-1 ABM activities, and other event opportunities that will exceed targets for your region
  • Exceed registration and attendance targets for virtual/live field events
  • Streamlined lead flow management from your field marketing programs/events into marketing automation systems and to sales team stakeholders to maximize pipeline generation and conversion
  • On budget execution of programs with timely and accurate reconciliation with Finance stakeholders
  • Consistent best practice sharing and optimized conversion rates of all programs
  • Happy regional sales and marketing stakeholders

What we look for:

  • 5+ years' experience managing events, including at least 1-3 years running field marketing events
  • Experience running other field programs beyond physical events (webinars, 3rd party event sponsorships, email campaigns, direct mail, etc.)
  • Experience working with a direct sales team and regional channel partners
  • Experience holding event budget authority and managing budgets across an event series
  • Experience having pipeline building responsibility
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Asana, and Marketo (building emails, lists and landing pages)
  • Must be metrics-driven
  • Travel for events will be required (when appropriate)
