Commercial Account Executive

As a Commercial Account Executive your mission will be to acquire and grow our mid-market customers in Databricks.You have experience in IT related sales and can generate leads and guide deals forward. You love understanding a product and are passionate about communicating its value to customers and partners. Always prospecting for new opportunities, you will close new accounts either directly or working with channel partners. You will report to the Country Manager of Japan.

The impact you will have:

  • Prospect for new customers
  • Effectively assess the potential of 100+ sets of assigned accounts from the territory and optimally approach and sell Databricks
  • Use a solution approach to selling and creating value for customers
  • Identify the most viable use cases in each account to maximize Databricks’ impact
  • Promote the Databricks cloud data platform 
  • Be a trusted advisor of your customer and help deliver end to end solution including professional services, support, and partners, and achieve technical and business results using the Databricks Platform
  • Promote Teamwork…it makes the Dreamwork!


What we look for:

  • You have previously worked in an IT industry, or a general solution provider in a specific industry and you have been trained about the general IT industry and IT related sales methodologies  
  • 2+ years of IT sales experience
  • 2+ years of experience exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience in completing the cycle of generating leads, identifying opportunities, providing solutions, and closing deals
  • Understanding of general enterprise IT architecture and landscape
  • Prior experience in working with alliance / channel partners is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
