Billing and Resolution Optimization Lead

Databricks is seeking a passionate leader with an in-depth understanding of order to cash and revenue operations. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, process improvement-oriented lead to help us scale our growth. This is a unique opportunity that will allow you to lead and shape the direction of our customer obsessed team while leading development of internal best practices, coordinating with cross functional internal stakeholders to root cause issues, drive communication and resolution, and provide timely communication of resolutions. 

The ability to lead in a fast-paced, ambiguous and demanding work environment is critical to success in this role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with knowledge of project management and process improvement, accounting, tax, financial management, automation, and experience with Order-To-Cash (OTC) across multiple regions. This person must also possess strong relationship and strategic influencing skills, attention to detail, experience in large-scale change management across functions and geographies, excellent written and presentation skills, and a pursuit for improvement and optimization.

 

The impact you will have:

  • Own and drive all billing issues resolutions working closely with cross functional stakeholders including Engineering, IT, Sales, Revenue, FP&A,  and other teams to resolve all issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with streamlining and standardization of timely communication around billing issues to all stakeholders.
  • Develop best practices for internal teams concerning billing issue resolution processes, including creation of internal training collateral to standardize billing Issue resolution,  reporting, and metrics.
  • Lead special projects to drive improvements and integrations across e Revenue Operations and broader Finance organization
  • Perform ad hoc, deep dive analysis as needed to develop recommendations and impact the decision-making of the Revenue Operations team
  • Partner with Finance, Engineering, IT and Corporate Operations to integrate  new upstream and downstream applications to improve billing accuracies and improve operational efficiencies.


What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years' working in Program or Project Management, with a focus on billing issues resolutions.
  • 3+ years’ experience of managing multiple projects in-parallel in SAAS and technology industry
  • General accounting knowledge with emphasis on billing and revenue
  • Experience working with Salesforce CPQ, Netsuite, Zone a plus.
