Perform and review month end close activities, including preparation and review of general ledger entries
Perform daily credit card transactions matching resolving unmatched transactions, preparing entries and publishing weekly reporting
Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for journal entries and reports
Prepare and support monthly accruals
Perform assigned account reconciliations
Prepare monthly flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement expense accounts
Maintain and enhance the internal controls over accounting processes and systems
Ensure that the close activities are performed as per the agreed close calendar
Assist in process improvement projects as needed
Degree in Accounting required, CA or CPA Plus
5+ years accounting-related experience with public accounting and/or multi-national company
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Highly proficient in Excel, Word and other MS Office products
Excellent communication skills and must be fluent in English (Portuguese is a huge plus)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized with a great attention to detail
Ability to work in software systems, especially financial systems.
Strong work ethic and ownership of tasks
Ability to work cohesively with multiple people in a fast-paced team environment
Experience with Coupa, NetSuite or other accounting systems a plus
