Coupa Software is looking for a Commissions Analyst to join our Sales Commissions team. The Commissions Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the end-to-end global sales commissions plan, including generating individual compensation plans, creating calculation inputs, and performing monthly calculations for commissions payout. The analyst will partner closely with Coupa’s Finance, Sales and Operations teams and become a thought leader in incentive compensation.
Assist in the monthly commission calculation by creating monthly system uploads, reconciling calculations and reporting on results
Support the creation and distribution of individual sales compensation plans for new employees
Become a trusted advisor on compensation structure to the global sales organization
Ability to manage and manipulate large data sets into actionable insights in order to identifying inaccurate commission calculations
Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, and Human Resources to maintaining monthly commission reporting
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
Demonstrated ownership, problem solving, attention to detail and analytical skills
High level of integrity and ability to navigate gray areas to arrive at appropriate business / customer-focused conclusions
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while deliver high quality results
While prior experience in a commission calculation role in not required, understanding of the software industry and familiarity with incentive compensation would be a plus.
0 – 3 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, forecasting, commissions, or sales support
Proficient in Microsoft Excel with ability to compile, transform, analyze, and present data
Familiar with Salesforce or other CRM systems as well as commissions management tools like Xactly
