Sales Engineering at Checkout.com
Checkout.com is looking for Sales Engineers of varying experience levels to join our fast-growing team in the United States to help drive merchant adoption of our revolutionary online payment solution.
As a Sales Engineer, you are responsible for technical ownership of client relationships from initial contact in the sales cycle throughout the solutioning, integration, and go-live stages of the customer journey. The ability to solve business and technical requirements through the application of Checkout.com products and solutions is core to the success of the position. Along the way, you’ll collaborate closely with various in-house talents across Technology and Business to position our capabilities, products, services and solutions effectively with prospects.
The ideal candidate will need to be an independent, high-achieving individual, able to stand out in an entrepreneurial environment and outperform performance targets through personal drive.
About you
Role-related or industry-related experience required
Experience working in a technical client-facing role preferred
Familiar with API based integration methods, associated best practices, and related tools/frameworks
Experience with at least one common front-end (pure JavaScript, React, Angular, etc) and back-end (Java, .NET, Python, Node, etc) technology
Commercially-minded
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Confident communicating with C-level executives
Organized and able to prioritize shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Hybrid work environment with 2 days per week in our New York City or San Francisco offices and 3 days remote per week.
Ability to travel 10-15% of the time for client and team onsite meetings, subject to COVID-19 landscape
What you’ll be doing
Gathering and documenting merchants’ requirements
Providing technical leadership and guidance to merchants
Project managing large merchants’ accounts
Being constantly up to date with industry standards in order to offer the best bespoke solutions to our merchants
Working cross-functionally with many teams internally
Sales enablement
Talking to and building a relationship with merchants
Being a trusted advisor for merchants
