We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support our growth in the region. Reporting to the Regional Controller, the ideal candidate will be responsible for owning the payroll processing within APAC and MENA, has outstanding attention to detail and enjoys working in a challenging, fast–paced and high-growth environment. You will be working closely with Finance, to support all duties associated with the accurate and timely processing of payrolls as well as assist in all payroll related financial close tasks.

Key Responsibilities


  • Ownership and coordination of both in-house and outsourced payroll. This will involve working closely with external payroll vendors to process all payrolls for employees in APAC and MENA.
  • Assist international employees and managers with pay related issues
  • Assist with research projects and preparation of management reports as needed
  • Collaborate with external auditors to assist with audits
  • Ensure controls are properly performed within the payroll process
  • Ensure General Ledger postings accurately reflect monthly payroll and assist with balance sheet reconciliation queries
  • Support the wider Accounting, Finance, Tax and HR teams in ad hoc projects as required
  • Research international accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Actively research best-practice payroll processes and utilise and interpret data to make considered recommendations.
  • Any ad hoc business requirements

    About You


  • 5+ payroll experience, ideally in an international environment
  • Previous experience with China payroll is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, able to work towards deadlines and work independently
  • Strong work ethics with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Organised and pro-active, with lots of initiative and an ability to work at pace
  • Data driven, with the ability to use metrics to guide decision making
  • Drive and ambition to review and improve processes and systems with clear focus on automation and standardisation
  • Experience in and/or a desire to work in high growth, technology-centric business
