And we need your help. So, join us to build tomorrow, today. is seeking an experienced and qualified Accounting Policy leader to join the global Accounting leadership team. This role will be reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer based in North America.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Establishes and maintains the Group’s accounting policies and the related application guidance and ensures that they are applied in a consistent way across the Group companies
  • Builds and maintains the Group’s Accounting Policy Manual
  • Leads the implementation of new and emerging IFRS accounting standards across the Group, engaging with multiple stakeholders within the group, as well as relevant external stakeholders (external audit etc.) 
  • Leads CKOs engagement with external bodies in technical accounting advocacy efforts (IFRIC/IASB comment letters, industry bodies etc.)
  • Provides accounting advisory support to countries, businesses, and functions
  • Presents advanced and innovative business-focused solutions to technical accounting issuesReviews and provides accounting opinions on significant internal and external transactions as well as new products and business practices
  • Monitors standard setting activities, including interpretations promulgated by regulators in the jurisdictions in which the Group operates
  • Provides training for the group (Finance and non-Finance stakeholders, to the extent needed)
  • Review financial statements and regulatory filings for IFRS compliance and disclosure adequacy
  • Monitors peers’ financial statement disclosures and accounting advocacy efforts to benchmark Group’s performance there against
  • Liaises with CFO/COO organization on the design, implementation and operation of controls relevant to technical accounting topics (Credit Reserving etc.)

    About You:


  • Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent) with extensive and relevant post qualification experience in the technical application of IFRS
  • Experience working in technical accounting at global corporate institution (financial services/fintech preferred) and/or in technical accounting advisory services at one of the big 4 firms and/or fellowship or similar work experience at IASB or FASB
  • Experience making accounting judgements in the application of IFRS (Revenue Recognition in financial services/fintech/technology industries, Share Based Payments, Debt and Equity transactions with investors/owners etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills 
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across geographies
