Director, Experiential Marketing at Checkout.com 
We’re looking for an Experiential Marketing Director to build and lead our Global Experiential Marketing function. You’ll be reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing and, initially manage a team of two stand-out Experiential Marketing Managers, and you’ll continue to grow this team as you implement new programs.
 
We’re looking for a passionate and driven B2B marketing professional passionate about all forms of experiential engagement in a hybrid era; from guerrilla marketing, to tradeshows, to owned conferences, social events across the physical and digital worlds.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing the experiential strategy, conceptualizing new programs, and defining the roadmap that will strengthen our position in the market, and continue to drive advocacy of our audiences. You’ll work very closely with the rest of the marketing team (press, editorial, content, demand generation, brand marketing, and design) to develop innovative programs that set a new benchmark in Tech – for you, every experience has a 360 opportunity.

You have a deep passion for creating memorable experiences that stand out for their uncanny simplicity, combined with a test and learn and data-driven approach that is hyper focussed on improving efficacy and results with every activity. Taking initiative and being able to self-manage are key to success in this role.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Build a robust experiential marketing program across key regions to support our marketing goals. You’ll leverage global and local inputs from marketing, sales, customer success, and across the business to do so.
  • Be responsible for the budget and return on investment analysis to assess the strongest opportunities and boost brand awareness and advocacy on a global scale
  • Establish a strategic approach to building awareness and driving advocacy through sponsored and owned events, working closely with brand marketing, design, social, digital to have a 360, cross-channel approach to experiential campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, commercial, and product to understand the core product and messaging to be conveyed at events to target our key audiences, and over time

    About you

     

  • 8+ years Experiential Marketing experience, ideally in B2B Fintech
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with a keen passion for implementing new processes at global scale
  • You’re a strategic planner, who can juggle several projects and get stuck in
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner at all levels
  • Ability to develop new processes and optimise those already in place
  • With a passion for developing people and a best in class team adaptable, positive mindset with a contagious enthusiastic spirit
