The Team You’ll Work With

Carta is looking for an Account Executive to join our Investor Services team in Singapore.

Carta expanded to Singapore in 2021, and we are building a world-class team to support the startup ecosystem across Asia Pacific. The Singapore team is lean and agile, comprising of local venture industry experts and tenured Cartans. 

You will be part of a highly dynamic and diverse group of people who are responsible for every aspect of Carta’s growth across Asia. You will work closely with each member of our Singapore team, with a focus on sales. You will become an expert in private markets and venture capital operations. You will work closely with our Go-to-Market and Delivery Leads and learn key skills in sales development, deal making/negotiations, and client management.

The Problems You’ll Solve

Business Demand Generation

  • Map and communicate the business impact of our product offerings to fund managers
  • Demonstrating ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building to identify and sell new opportunities
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and act as a trusted business advisor
  • Own the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to close
  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy and sales plan that ensures consistent achievement of goals over the short and long-term

Customer and Partner Support 

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the software platform and Carta IS fund services offering to support our clients across venture capital and growth equity funds, particularly in their fundraising process
  • Support nurturing relationship with our channel partners, including but not limited to law firms and tax/audit advisors

Data and Process Integrity & Maintenance

  • Build and own sizable prospect and customer datasets in order to glean unique insights and drive desirable business outcomes
  • Ensure data integrity across critical business systems (e.g. Salesforce, Outreach, Marketo, and Carta)
  • Manage and schedule new business engagements cross functionally

The Impact You’ll Have

You will be part of a small team managing all commercial aspects of Carta’s growth in Asia. You will drive demand, develop and iterate on critical internal and outbound operations, and provide ongoing customer relationship support. You will be part of the inaugural team in Asia, helping build the infrastructure powering venture capital, private equity, and private companies

About You

  • Passionate about creating more equality in the world
  • Relevant sales experience, preferably in a SaaS organization
  • Experience managing a large pipeline 
  • Proven ability to execute, especially negotiation and closing contracts
  • Articulate, poised, and concise
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient – Comfortable working in a high velocity startup environment
  • Competitive and driven to achieve goals
  • Experience in professionally communicating with venture capitalists, finance executives, CEOs, and other high level executives

Nice to have:

  • Understands how venture fund services and operations help solve liquidity
  • Understanding of fund operations / administration
  • Understanding of venture capital & private equity as an asset class, and/or experience in institutional investing, and wealth management
