The Growth Specialty in Manila aims to be the best design company in the world. That starts with hiring the best people and best people to support the different growth teams in Canva.

Performance Marketing is a team supported by the content subspecialty of the Growth Specialty. The team is also under the Marketing & Engagement group. Performance Marketing ensures that we grow high value users by launching and producing ad campaigns on paid channels.

About the Group/Team

The Marketing & Engagement Group’s mission is for Canva “to become the most-loved brand in the world”. We are scaling our team, budgets and operations to drive brand awareness and growth in our 100+ markets around the world. Marketing is still new as a function at Canva, and so we’re building a lot of our structures, cadences, budgets, processes and systems from the ground up.

With our mission to amplify Canva’s story across digital touchpoints while driving sustainable growth & revenue through automation and intelligence.

About the Candidate

You’ll work as part of our Performance Creative team, supporting the creative content squad. This role will cover a wide range of creative responsibilities from research, ideation, copywriting for ads and newsletters and scripting.

He/she will be part of a vibrant and friendly creative studio, producing engaging ad creatives for our various paid marketing efforts. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in defining how performance marketing looks at Canva, delivering a wide variety of creative campaigns for our paid social channels.

 

What you’ll do…

 

  • Write captivating headline and caption copy for our paid social ads on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Write succinct and engaging copy for our Google search ads.
  • Write compelling content for our marketing landing pages and emails.
  • Work with the creative team in writing video scripts for our video ads.

    What we’re looking for…

     

  • 1-3+ years experience as a copywriter or Editor, creating a diverse range of marketing content.
  • Passion for writing and reviewing beautifully crafted copy for every kind of content – from ad copy to landing pages and everything in between.
  • A keen eye for detail, experienced or interested in localization, editing or proofreading.
  • Experience in writing for high performing digital campaigns is a plus!
  • The ability to create short and long-form copy in a fast-paced environment.
  • The confidence to try new things, and a passion for big ideas and storytelling.
  • The ability to brief illustrators, animators and videographers to create beautiful and quality content.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment.
  • Diligence to hit deadlines, and offer suggestions to streamline and improve team processes.
