About the team & role
In order to become the best company in the world, Canva needs to hire the best people on the planet to do the best work of their lives. To help us get there, our Recruiting Enablement team are constantly finding new ways to improve the quality, efficiency and inclusivity of our hiring, so we’re ready to do good and hire better. This means constantly switching up and changing how we do things.

This role is the first of its kind at Canva, responsible for implementing a robust framework around workforce planning strategy and scaling our operational processes seamlessly. Working within our Talent Acquisition team, this person will collaborate across all levels, teams and groups at Canva to ensuring that we have the right people, in the right place, with the right skills, at the right time. 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Implement an approach for how to best design, grow and resource our team by deeply understanding Canva’s business strategy, the internal and external talent landscape and supply and demand of critical skills.
  • Collaborate and work cross functionally with TA Leads, Internal Mobility, People Partners, Finance Partners and our Goals Squad to develop short and long term forecasts for company-wide headcount growth and understand the associated impact on our hiring capacity and financial position.
  • Drive company headcount planning cadences, working with our senior leadership teams to forecast future headcount growth, mapped to company goals.
  • Establish a regular cadence and process for refreshing and refining workforce plans, ensuring that plans are kept up to date and deliver meaningful information to teams that rely on accurate headcount forecasts.
  • In partnership with IT, implement workforce planning tooling that enables visualisation, scenario planning, streamlined approvals and real time workforce dashboards (e.g. Workday Adaptive Planning, position and requisition management, skills mapping).

    What we’re looking for:

     

  • Demonstrated experience in Workforce Planning, People Analytics or Talent Acquisition
  • Experience partnering with Finance/FP&A on headcount forecasting, experience with company-wide planning processes.
  • Extremely proficient in workforce planning methods, tools and systems (Excel, Adaptive, Workday).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including ability to influence senior leaders within a highly matrixed organisation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding analytical skills to produce accurate, quality reporting.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • Must be self-motivated, collaborative, flexible, willing to roll up your sleeves and able to work autonomously.
