About the People Central Team
At the heart of what makes our people experience world-class and seamless are the exceptional executors that take pride in their craft and in delivering friction-free employee experiences. Across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding all the way to offboarding and everything in between, we fuel Canva’s hypergrowth by delivering seamless, scalable, and delightful employee experiences.

The Role
In this newly created role, the Change Partner, People Central will lead Change management activities across the People Portal project.  Leaning on your background in HR and/or Operations and Change Management,  you will support the people-side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, readiness activities and communications.  

This project will enable new ways of working for the People Group and other supporting internal services to streamline and simplify our queries and support across the business. Early adoption of the new operating model and portal will be key in delivering a great employee experience. 

If your sweet spot is at the intersection of people, process, technology and change management, and you get a kick out of large implementation projects and problem-solving for scale, this is the role for you!

What you’ll do:

 

  • Lead change impacts: You’ll focus on the people side of change – identifying the impact on people through change impact assessments, readiness assessments, and stakeholder analysis, and building a change enablement strategy that maximises adoption and minimises resistance.
  • Change communications: You’ll develop, deliver and manage compelling communication materials, stakeholder engagement and training and awareness strategies to drive and reinforce change. 
  • Ensure change sticks: You’ll use your storytelling skills to empower everyone with the ‘why’ and ‘what’s in it for me’ behind the change
  • Change resistance and data: Identify and manage anticipated resistance to change. You’ll define success metrics and use data to inform how we measure and enhance the effectiveness of change initiatives.
  • Global reach: Assess organisational impact and readiness for each change initiative on a global, regional and/or country level.

    What we’re looking for:

     

  • Proven experience in Change Management, Communications or HR supporting a People-focussed change project.
  • Experience or understanding of People systems, intranet and/ or People Service Delivery model.
  • Familiarity with project management principles, approaches and tools with the ability to integrate Change Management activities into the project plan.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including ability to influence senior leaders within a highly matrixed organisation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding analytical skills to produce engaging communication plans
  • Bias for action, constantly targeting for positive impact and being a force for good.
  • Great presentation and design skills.
  • Integrity and trustworthiness with humility/willingness to question one’s own assumptions.
