WHY BOX NEEDS YOU 
We are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to help support the growing tax compliance and reporting obligations at Box.This individual will assist with ensuring that federal, state, international and indirect tax compliance requirements are adhered to, while assisting the Tax Manager in gathering tax information for quarterly tax provisions and annual reporting requirements. This individual will work with cross-functional teams, as well as business partners, to ensure the highest level of quality in our tax compliance and reporting processes.
 
WHAT YOU'LL DO 
  • Assist with the preparation and review of the US income tax return(federal, state, and international), related payments, and extensions
  • Serve as a project manager for various indirect tax process streams (including but not limited to franchise tax, use tax, unsecured property tax, sales tax, local business tax, and SF gross receipts tax)
  • Assist in the gathering and preparation of documentation related to the company's income tax provision
  • Track and Reconcile payments to Netsuite, quarterly tax provisions, and other external reporting processes to ensure integrity and accuracy
  • Assist in reconciling tax accounts and prepare internal reporting of tax accounts and maintain audit ready work papers
  • Ensure timely reporting of all tax and regulatory filings with the appropriate local, state and federal authorities (quarterly income tax estimates, annual income tax extensions and income tax returns)
  • Manage state and federal income tax audits as necessary
  • Assist the Technical Accounting team in the annual external audit, specifically for the income tax provision and all tax disclosures
WHO YOU ARE 
  • 3+ years of overall experience, indirect tax knowledge a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax or related field. CPA and Big 4 experience a plus
  • Demonstrate a good understanding and willingness to learn US and International tax concepts. SALT knowledge a plus
  • Working knowledge of OneSource, NetSuite, and Avalara
  • Tax research and writing skills, knowledge of Checkpoint a plus
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to collaborate and work with a diverse team across functional and business boundaries
  • Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail
