Staff Software Engineer(Backend) – Bank Partners

Mission: is looking for an  hands-on experienced backend engineer to work on our bank partnership platform. If you are passionate about optimizing software, enjoy being hands on, excited to take a revolutionary product to new heights and enjoy technical challenges, this is the job for you! In this role, you’ll work on the Bank partnership platform innovation to decompose the existing features to support current and future capabilities. You should challenge technical design decisions and approaches with highly talented product managers and staff engineers. The team is a full stack composed of Frontend and Backend engineers and focuses on design, architecture, implementation and testing.


Professional Experience/Background to be successful in this role:


  • Bachelor or Master degree in CS or related field
  • 10+ years’ professional experience in software development
  • Experience working on large scale, complex applications
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C++, C#
  • Working experience with SQL and RDBMS design
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design and data structures
  • Solid skills/experience in system design, problem solving and complex analysis
  • Strong understanding of web application fundamentals
  • Familiar with software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build process, testing and operations
  • A team player with great communication skill 
  • Business acumen – able to leverage the platform to solve business problems
  • Excellent teamwork , communication and mentoring skills
  • Ability to gain alignment across cross-functional boundaries
  • Ability to challenge the norm and maturity to advocate for changes for the greater benefit of the business
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience in card payments industry highly preferred 
  • Experience in working with Test automation frameworks is a plus
  • AWS Cloud Architecture and Severless  Development experience
  • Full Cycle Development experience
  • Experience in containers and kubernetes 

    Competencies (Attributes needed to be successful in this role):


  • Experience in building high-performance, highly-available and scalable systems
  • Experience building service with AWS (or Azure)
  • Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems
  • Familiar with modern microservices  framework and tools 
  • Understand basic securing coding principles
