ROLE OVERVIEW
Benchling’s Business Systems team is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support our People Technology as we continue to support our company’s hyper growth. The Business Systems Analyst will drive the prioritization, planning, and execution of enterprise-scale technology solutions for the People Team. This individual will own relationships with key business partners and work cross-functionally with other systems teams on strategic initiatives.
In this position, you will be responsible for building the Workday platform and driving improvements post launch. You will also analyze complex business problems and deliver solutions that are focused on scalability and continuous improvement of processes & applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partnering with the Workday Core Implementation team to implement additional modules, defining requirements, eligibility rules, submitting and validating data, and testing functionality.
- Providing guidance to the People team by understanding current processes and timelines, and making recommendations on how we can leverage Workday functionality to provide elevated solutions that enhance compliance, streamline processes, and reduce errors.
- Creating custom reports, EIBs, XSLTs, RaaS reports and various other custom integration technologies
- Hands-on Workday configuration for Compensation, Benefits and Core HCM modules
- Building and maintaining full-cycle business processes: gathering requirements, prototyping and developing, testing and deploying. You will be an expert on the robust capabilities business processes provide.
- Contribute to HR system strategy, security, and governance
- Experience in Integrations using Workday Technology like Workday Studio
- Supporting system users, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely resolution, leveraging Workday Community/support to resolve complex escalation points. You will be the point person to answer questions and help enable teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment with constant change as your companion.
- A passion for being organized, with incredibly strong project management skills. You will need to be detail oriented, love multi-tasking and have excellent follow through skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, IT, or related field.
- Minimally 5 years of configuration experience configuring, customizing, and/or implementing Workday.
- Experience configuring Workday Payroll, Benefits, HCM, Talent and Performance, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Security, Reports.
- Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports, SOP, workflow documentation.
- Comfort switching between working collaboratively or independently, with excellent follow-up and ability to deliver on time.

SALARY RANGE
Benchling takes a market-based approach to pay. The candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and work location. For this role the base salary range is $153,255 – $207,345.
