Principal Edge Security Architect
The Role
This skilled cybersecurity architect will play a Technical Solution Architect role within the Edge Security product Area working with the architecture lead, business leadership and technology to define security capabilities and develop architectures to defend against cybersecurity threats. We need you to provide assistance in establishing strategic guidance and develop security architecture for critical cloud (AWS & Azure) and hybrid with on-premise projects and work directly with our product management, engineering teams and business teams.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring (The order of these bullets does not matter)
Education: BS or Master s in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems Engineering or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience. Cloud certifications a plus.
Work Experience: minimum 5 years of demonstrated technical lead / architectural skills and responsibilities.
Proven leadership skills, demonstrated ability to mentor, and partner with application architects, engineers, and product teams to deliver robust application solutions.
Proven understanding in ‘Cloud Architectures’ (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and the ability to secure cloud, Secure SDLC.
Deep architectural understanding and experience in the following:
Having worked in Cybersecurity, aware of perimeter security concepts and be able to articulate potential risks to the firm; proficient in identifying controls and their importance in protecting the firm
Be able to discuss capabilities; apply Cybersecurity principles and standards to drive Fidelity forward
Proficient in understanding 3rd and 4th party vendor risk
Process focused – Articulate that Vendor security is not a static onboarding activity but needs to be looked at continuously and refine processes to improve our security posture
Extensive experience in defining technology blueprints, roadmaps and defining solutions and enabling architecture and product capabilities.
Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, MS Azure and Google) and cloud services (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and the ability to address the unique security considerations of secure cloud computing
Assist in Plan, research, and design security architectures specific to platforms that prevent, detect, and respond to external attacks to Fidelity to cause a disruption to service or security breach in controls
Provide insight and mentorship around strategy and design of security structures in systems/processes that prevent, detect, and respond to malicious external cyber intrusions to the enterprise
Provide comprehensive architecture services supporting delivery teams by embedding architecture into the delivery and agile product models practices supporting our product lines
Understand that protecting the firm is a multiple party activity (Business Unit, Vendor and Enterprise Cyber Security), and be able to partner and collaborate in the presence of diverse views
Partner with, listen and guide senior stakeholders, as well as all levels of associates who are responsible for the day-to-day cyber operations to understand their needs and requirements that are a part of a 24×7 Security Operations team
Be active and in touch with the active cyber threat intel community both inside and outside of Fidelity to understand the active threat landscape and how it relates to Fidelity s technology and data
Agile development approach to continuously deliver value while balancing product strategy.
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate business value and influence other leaders in adopting security technology and innovation.
