Atlassian is looking for a communications leader to craft and nurture the stories that we share with the world. You will lead communications for Atlassian enterprise, cloud, platform and ecosystem, driving programs for cross-product projects.
You will help Atlassian win enterprise mindshare, showcasing our innovation in cloud offerings and cross-product platform. You’ll build the future of Atlassian reputation and act as strategic communications partner to executives across the company, helping them articulate their vision. You’ll be part of a global communications team, reporting to the Head of Product Communications.
To help our teams work together, this role requires you to be located in the US time zone. You will work with internal teams located in the Pacific and Sydney time zones.
What you’ll do
Partner with marketing team to build and evolve Atlassian positioning for enterprise customers and stakeholders, and the Atlassian platform narrative
Develop a external communications strategy for Atlassian enterprise, cloud, platform and ecosystem, and execute on it in relevant earned channels, partnering with teams responsible for owned and paid channels in the process
Support analyst relations activities related to enterprise and platform areas
Execute ongoing external communications campaigns for enterprise, cloud, platform and ecosystem, which includes building talking points and press pitches, researching press targets, and reaching out to press to secure interest
Manage speaking opportunities for executives, including creating positioning, event submissions, and external presentations.
Contribute to comms team strategy and support cross-product team projects such as external events, analyst days, and product launches.
Minimum of 8 years of communications experience with enterprise technology – in-house or at an agency.
Ability to build and run communications programs, independently.
Experience in driving agreement and influencing main internal decision-makers on communications programs, applying insights on market trends from media and analysts.
Relationships with core enterprise technology journalists and influencers.
A knack for knowing what will interest media and industry analysts, and how to fine-tune messaging for different audiences.
Assess the value of competing opportunities and articulate the rationale behind decisions.
Love for penning messaging platforms, pitches, press releases, and executive speaking points.
An interest in the latest moves in technology and the future of work.
